Terms of service.

Plain terms for a $5 product. By buying or using TypeDeck you agree to these terms and the license below.

Last updated June 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of TypeDeck (the “software”), a typography add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint. In these Terms, “TypeDeck”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the maker of the software; “you” refers to the person who buys or uses it. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not purchase or use TypeDeck.

What you’re buying

TypeDeck is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. For a single payment you receive a single-seat lifetime license to the software, and future updates of TypeDeck are included at no additional cost for the lifetime of the product. There is no recurring fee, no login, and no activation server.

License grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-seat lifetime license to install and use TypeDeck on any number of machines that you personally use.

Restrictions

You may not:

Your presets are your own data. They are plain-text .ini files that you create, and you may edit, export, and share them freely.

Payments, the seller, and refunds

TypeDeck is sold through Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record. Gumroad handles checkout, payment processing, and the delivery of your download. Your purchase is also subject to Gumroad’s own terms, which you accept at checkout.

Refunds: a full refund is available within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email support@typedeck.pro to request one; no justification is required.

Updates and changes to the software

Future versions of TypeDeck are included free for the lifetime of the product. We may add, change, or discontinue features over time, and we may stop selling or supporting the software at our discretion. Your license to a version you already own is not revoked by such changes.

Acceptable use of this website

This website and its content are provided for information about TypeDeck. Please don’t attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorised access to the site. The TypeDeck name, copy, and visual design are ours.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of your work.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the makers or copyright holders of TypeDeck be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability — whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise — arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or its use. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Governing law and disputes

We keep this simple. Your local consumer-protection laws apply to your purchase, and nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under them. If something goes wrong, email us first — we will work to resolve it informally and in good faith. We don’t designate a specific national court or jurisdiction for a $5 product; we’d much rather sort it out with you directly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the software after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
